Who we are
Glide Swim School provides private swimming lessons for adults and children in Norfolk. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us.
What we collect
When you enquire or book, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The swimmer's name, age and swimming ability
- Any medical conditions or additional needs that affect safety in the water
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by email or through our website
How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and arrange lessons
- To keep swimmers safe during lessons
- To contact you about your bookings, such as changes or cancellations
We will only send you news or offers if you have agreed to receive them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share it where needed to run lessons, for example with the pool venue, or where the law requires it. We use WhatsApp to arrange lessons, Gmail for email, and Hostinger to run this website.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you're having lessons with us and for up to two years afterwards, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, like the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, help us see whether our adverts are working. We only use those if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
